I only wish my own wedding photos could have been this good.

hehe I broke it and then ran off to work! Who doesn't like a 3 foot wide thread? hehe

That wasn't a thread, 'twas a trans-atlantic cable :P

Eta; I didn't get a reply to my email, so today I sent him this one;
"I am disappointed that you chose not to respond to last week's email query, but it does help me narrow my choices, because I know you're not interested in a new client."

I wonder if he'll answer now?

I'm willing to bet, judging by his website, he's too "computer illiterate" to know how to deal with email. He probably let somebody else set up his site, and that person is long since gone, so he's stuck with that he's got.

(all conjecture, of course, but the opposite is even more frightening)

I'm guessing that this guy, or whoever he hired, is terrible at website building but can take a decent picture. My thought is that he hopefully has somebody mirroring him and taking those terrible shots "for the site" while he has his fancy film camera to take the keepers for the happy couple. My mind cannot accept the fact that the site reflects his actual work. I'm also guessing that he generates very little business from the site, but relies on traditional advertising, longtime clients, etc.

I dunno, he advertises that site on a lot of commercial sites, such as bridal ones, etc.

And does the bridal fairs, apparently;
one who dodged the bullet

Btw, no response to my second email, as I expected :)

Isn't the concept of a "longtime client" of a wedding photographer somewhat in conflict with the ltimate theory and purpose of marriage? ;-)

What the...??? omg THAT'S the outfit he's lounging around in, in the first photo! I thought he was wearing a funky white space suit or something.

@ BeeCee Still no word?

In the spirit of sh*t stirring, I decided to email him myself. I was really disappointed he changed his website's background picture to those silly bubbles. Here's the email I sent:

Subject: wounderful web site

I came for look at many you wedding photos last week an I like much pictures of a moving water real. Why you for a bubble now change? Please to change back for a water calming, than I can to decide make purchase.

Regars

I really really want those tiled wave animations back again. It's just not the same without them :(

Nope, not a peep. And how come I never got to see the tiled waves? I always only had the bubbles... now I feel deprived :(

This is just so evil and hilarious. Are you going to call him if he doesn't reply?

He must have changed it soon after I first posted. Darn, it was a beauty too, an animated gif with maybe only two frames? But boy, the differences in the water pattern between each frame, and the incredibly fast speed it was changing, depicted moving water like nothing else could ;)

lol, not sure yet. Yoda style broken English is really hard to write, I'd imagine harder to actually speak. I might try a 'legitimate' enquiry first, if only to see if he's actually answering any of his emails. Looks like he regularly updates the site, but it could be he's failed to update the all important contact email address....
