I came across this while searching for a new camera, is this a good deal?

I would say "yes". Seems worth it down to number 5 on your list...the other stuff doesn't matter.
The 70-300 would be ok in lots of light outside...
Teh 28-70 f2.8 looks more than capable.
Check out for scams and rip offs b4 you buy.
Edit: Check out your vendor here.
Looks like a pretty safe bet.
Another edit: The package you show for $1019 does not seem to have the lens that you listed in your post....

Looks like he's looking at Premium Package 2, which is actually $1029.99.
Looks like a reasonable deal, and the vendor checks out at Reseller Ratings.
