I took some pictures and I want to send them in for print. My camera is set to the highest resolution it has, I took it into photoshop did my editing and saved it as a .jpg if i send that in and print it as an 11x16 will the pictures be ok or will it get cropped? I don't know if there's any printing rules or not but this picture is kind of important so i want to do it right. |

I think it would come out at 11x16.5 normally, though I may be wrong. Math is not my strong suit, especially without a couple more cups of coffee :)
The easiest way to tell is, in photoshop, open the "image size" box and, with "constrain proportions" checked, change one of the "document size" boxes to what you want for final size and see what the other one ends up at.
Yup, tried it... you'd get 11x16.5 or 10.667x16.
Having said that, I recently had 4x6's printed and it cropped off the border I had on one shot, despite using photoshop to assure I had it the right size. So I guess I'm not the best one to be answering this!
Anyone else have the definitive answer for us both? :)
