Anyone up for a P&S side challenge? Maybe 14 days of P&S photos? No SLR's allowed!

Rules, limitations, and suggestions:
- We'll start on Monday, April 21st, and aim to post 1 photo a day for 14 days.
- To avoid placing limitations on people or to speak for others, lets go with the honor system. If you own or have access to a camera that you feel is a P&S, then you're welcome to join. This will prevent people telling one another what does and does not qualify as a P&S (though we can all probably agree that 40D's, D40's and the like are decidedly not P&S)
- Advanced editing rules apply. Since this is about creativity, and since PP is such a large part of creativity, I don't want to limit people to a more basic set of rules. Let me know if you would like to join but have objections to this.
- Since a large part of the allure of side challenges is the helpful feedback that we receive, I'd like it if people would leave atleast one constructive comment for every comment they receive. That way, everyone wins.

absolutely. the idea is to squeeze as much as we can out of a P&S.
sometimes we get so caught up in our equipment and chasing the next lens, that we forget about photography itself. that's what this is about. seeing what we can do with our pocket-pals. |

no mate, for that you'd have to run your own challenge (literally). :-P

What's the limitation going to be? Around here, my Canon S5 IS is considered a P&S. I can handle that. Also have a Coolpix L6 that has been getting lonely, if the S5 is too capable. |

And what about one of these? It's a P&S with a SLR sized sensor and nice glass in front of it.

if you own one, and consider it to be a P&S, then by all means...

its just a way for a group of people to get together and shoot on some chosen theme, the theme this time being point and shoot cameras. every day, we'll each post our pictures, and provide feedback to each other. its a good forum to get feedback on your photos, and sometimes a good way to get out of an inspiration-slump. |

well, i dont want to speak for everyone and impose limitations. i prefer to use the honor system. if you own a camera that you consider to be a P&S, then you're free to join. don't worry about what other people say :)
personally, i will be using a Canon SD400. |

Great idea. Would like to play, using my Nikon Coolpix L10. (Strange, I used it a LOT when I got it, but I missed the controls and the zoom on my Panny (technically a P&S I think) and I had disciplined myself to carry it most of the time, though I still hanker to make an earthshaking (bad photo word) picture with the L10. Hope you all won't mind much less... I'm OK with any editing rules, though SOMEDAY I'd like a straight from the camera challenge/side challenge. |
