For me, I probably will pass.
While it's been fun, it just doesn't have
the fun factor that DPL does.
And the side challenges beckon...

I will probably sit out as well and give someone else the opportunity to represent the US team.

Doing good - hopefully it will stay above the 6.0 - Second day usually drops quite a bit - I'm hopeful it will stick.

I've enjoyed getting to know all of you over the past few weeks. But I've also been having trouble getting inspired to enter, so I'll probably drop off and just cheer the team on. :)

But for this week, anyway, maybe I'll have a score to contribute!

I have enjoyed the competition and getting to know you all, but I think that I'll pass as well. It is probably already filled anyway...I wouldn't want to take someone elses spot. I have no inspiration to enter challenges either....My centered composition is doing pretty good. Looks like this might be a good week for team USA!

Do next week's challenges count or is centered/homemade landscapes the last ones?

I think there's one more week after this. I'm at 6.6 on Centered!

Yep. we'll all having a good week. My image is at 5.7.
And it has been fun. Should be interesting to sit back and root for the home team
instead of BEING the home team.

I went with Paranormal... I think Negative image will be the lower scoring average of the two. Just IMO.

I'm hanging at 6.3 with Centered comp...

Glad to see we're in the game. I'm in negative and just went with my first choice.
'cause it was the only theme I could think of ...

Oh, yes. Congratulations on all those sixes. I'm still in there with a 5.75 in Centered

I posted some more negative images...I'm really having fun with this negative image challenge. When it first was announced I didn't want to shoot anything for it (or paranormal)..I'm glad I'm on the team otherwise I would have sat this week out and not had a chance to learn this new "technique". You really can make some dramatic images as negatives.

Oh and my centered is at 6.2642.

Congtats all Team USA members..we got 3 more points! Good job everyone. My negative image is at 6.02 right now...fully expected to drop to 5.75 by the end.

As we enter into the last week of competition, I'd like to express my thanks to my fellow teammates. It was an honor to shoot along with such talent. I know I wasn't too involved in the other site discussion but these eight weeks of the year are my busiest time at work and I barely had time to shoot. The team's most value came in the form of motivation (and pressure) to shoot my best and really conceptualize my photography. The level of participation made me the most proud of our team and I wouldn̢۪t accept any excuse from myself for not entering something. As a result I̢۪ve put 3 of my five highest scores up during the Olympic weeks as well as having an entry every week. I look at ours as well the other teams and I̢۪m proud to have played with and against some of the best talent on the site. Thanks you and I look forward to the DPC Olympics II.

Dex

Oh yeah... My Paranormal is at 5.7.....

Hey, that's great to hear, Dexter! I'm glad you had such growth, and I'm sorry I was so uninspired through the middle weeks. It seems I have about 11 months' worth of energy, as I hit a month-long lull at the same time last year.

I've also really enjoyed getting to know you good folks and sharing thoughts in our "special place."

Good luck in the second round! :)
