One would assume this applies to USA only. Laws here in Belgium seem to take 7 notary publics and three lawyers at great cost to track down and THEN they are not responsible for their advice ... bleh !!!!!!!!!!!

... and quoting European Guidelines that Belgium (partly) subscribes to mostly only protects suspected criminals from being photographed by Government Officials ... ie police.

Pretty much here, I would imagine that it would be the one with the most BUX that wins a dispute here.

... if anyone can enlighten me on that ... I would be appreciative ...

I also have a handy PDF that is printable on 1 page and contains most of this information. Good to hand to security guards that harass you. PM me with email address if you want me to send it to you.

ETA: oh oops, the PDF is actually linked from Bert P. Krages' page: here

The glories of the civil system of law. I have advised on international transactions with huge Belgian issues and could never pin down the local advisors that we employed.

Mount a campaign to move Belgium into the commonwealth and we'll let you use our laws!

Sorry, no offense to you. The material is good, and the link is appreciated. I was just saying that I'm not impressed with the author of the article itself because they simply lifted information from someone else's writing, that's all.
Didn't mean it in your direction.

I'm just pointing out that the Krages PDF has been out since 2002 or 2004 and the page you linked to doesn't add anything new. Maybe if they'd put some effort into saying something new, I'd be a bit more excited, but they don't. No anecdotal examples of what has happened to photographers or anything.
