Is there a way to remove your own photo from a current challenge? or previous challenge?

A completedd challenge, no. A challenge that is currently voting, request the DQ on your own shot.

From the challenge rules:

You may... request removal of your own entry during the voting period IF none of your last 25 entries were disqualified or removed, and no rules were violated.

You should be aware that a self-DQ is counted when calculating penalties for multiple DQs. That means that if any of your next 24 entries after the self-DQ are disqualified, you would be subject to a short suspension from entering challenges, as outlined in the rules.
