Terrible weekend.
Well, once again the curse of me has struck, well, me.
This weekend I was going to go up to phoenix to meet Andy from DCP to shoot some Nascar stuff, then potter up the back roads to Phoenix to shoot landscapes, then off to Gay Pride to shoot for a magazine.
So got in my MG for the 1.5 hour journey. I get 60 miles up the road and something fell off someone's truck in front of me. I had no time to swerve so had to run over it. It split open my exhaust pipe. Sounded amazing and just like a Nascar too, but knew it would break down before I get there.
So drive 60 miles back home on a wing and a prayer. Change all my gear into the Mini Van and start again.
In exactly the same spot 60 miles north of my house, I hear "MIAWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO" from the trunk of the mini van.
Drive all the way back home with a pissed off kitten in the van.
Redrive up to Phoenix without shooting any landscapes, go to the place that I think the Nascar is and it is not the place. Try to phone Andy to tell him I am not at the right racetrack when I realize I left the phone in the other car.
Get all pissed off with myself and zoom off to Gay Pride. Had to park 2 miles away and lug my stuff there. Get there and I am pissed off, hot and in no mood to shoot anything.
End up having to man a booth whilst my friend went off and chased young men. Got pissed off with him too. Gave up on the idea of getting any shots as it is now just a dust bowl of dust and crappy shooting conditions.
Get lost trying to find my way to the house I am staying in. Get attacked by their tiny ittsybitsy dog called Cricket, who slept on my head all night. (He was so much fun)
Went outside for a ciggie and one of the boys locked the door to the house, so I was locked out. Had to climb the back garden 6 foot wall, the cops showed up. Trying to explain why I was climbing a wall with only a T Shirt on was impossible. The boys had turned their phones off and where fast asleep. So me and the cops ended up throwing rocks at their windows to wake them up.
Finally not got arrested, went to sleep for 3 hours and woke up with a dogs butt on my face and a migraine.
Said screw it and drove home.
I took all of 12 pictures this weekend.
Going to bed in a minute lol |

Heh, and the best way to finish off days like that is with a few snifters of whiskey. :-D

At least you arrived home safely. :)
I got a giggle out of this but only because it's relieving to see things like this happen to others as well as myself. ;\
Did you apologize to the kitty?

That's definitely the Juliet I came to know & love :-) I can see you in the tee shirt on the wall in my mind's eye. Those cigarettes may not kill you, but they sure as hell will get you arrested one day...

Oh I usually laugh at it when it is happeneing, cos I know when one thing goes wrong then it is just a dominoe effect.
I swear I am all ways in peril, but I always laugh about it and at myself cos people are now calling their disastors the "juliet touch'
I think I am honoured ??? LOLOL
I always tend to write out my little adventures cos I know someone will smile!!!
Trust, me, you will hear more adventures! |
