We took a nice quiet walk around the neighborhood. A couple of places were "dark." Maybe just out for dinner? ;-) Maybe a few were into it. Would like to think so!
Sure, it was all symbolic, and, yet, a very positive thing for those of us concerned with such things, right? It was so good to see so many people, cities, companies and countries come together and get behind this! Maybe next year there will be more involvement and interest. 8-/
Thanks for all your good responses. Keep up the good work! Even if it's not, as some will argue, a climate "crisis" now, better to take action to avoid a crisis than to have to undo a crisis after the fact, IMHO. I'd rather err on the side of caution, however, and look at ways to conserve our resources and find alternative sources of energy. How bad a thing can that really be?
Okay, stepping off my soapbox now, but, THANK YOU each for participating! And, hey, nice shots, Nathanael!! Kind of otherwordly... and really captured the essence of the concept. Two "10s!" Kudos!
See y'all (or not, 'cause the lights will be out) next Earth Hour!!! ;-)
Peace... and Light...
