Need recommendation for a vector graphic software

Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D

I need to create a small graphic and want it to be in a vector graphic format.

I know Adobe Illustrator does this, but for my one-time graphic, I'm just looking for a more inexpensive way to get this done. Is there any shareware or freeware programs that can easily create vector graphics?

you can download a trial version of illustrator for like 30 days I think it is if you're looking for just a one-time use

Thanks, but the free downloads are the older versions and are not Vista compatible. The later versions of PhotoPlus are compatible.

Thanks for the tip. I knew there was a trial version, but was holding out for any other suggestions. I may have to go that route.

If it is a simple graphic like you said then I mite be able to build it for you if you want to go that route... Just a thought, just mite take a couple days as Im still waiting on parts for 3 puters that died on me last weekend :(

Inkscape is an "Open Source" Vector Graphics program that works pretty darn good. Still beta but hecka better than others out there.

OpenOffice has a vector drawing program. I have never used it besides a quick test to answer this, but it seems okay. I don't think there's a way to only download OODraw.
