Camera Exchange. Here's why!
If any of you remember, my D300 (and yours too, I bet, if I could use it for 2 minutes) carries an odd glitch. At first, I thought it was just mine because I couldn't isolate enough factors, so I went back to National. They traded me a BRAND NEW D300 because the one they sold me was faulty! All I had to do was bring them my original box! They looked up the reciepts and took care of all the paperwork! However, disaster soon struck...
The new one was faulty too! After much experimentation and wonderful service, me, Steve Gordon (of the Apple Valley location) and Mike (also) determined the factors and a cause, albeit under odd conditions that aren't really relevant (but the glitch happens sporadically not under these conditions--they're purely demonstrative).
Steve went to tons of trouble talking with disbelieving Nikon reps and tech support guys, and our final (frustrated) conclusion was to send it in for repair to Nikon. Neither of us expect results, but that's irrelevant.
I saw my beloved D300 off today. But what am I going to do without a camera?!! I'd go crazy! Plus, I'm a student and I HAVE to take pictures for my class still! So what do I do? Fortunately, Steve to the rescue again! He was able to give me a used D200 that the store had in stock until my D300 comes back to me! Wow! I would have never expected such awesome service from ANY store-- especially one that deals with equipment costing in the thousands of dollars!
So anyways, I've already been shooting with the D200, thanks to Steve and National Camera Exchange. Anyone from Minnesota: Be proud that we have such an amazing local chain staffed by so many amazing people. I'm truly on the verge of writing the Better Business Bureau and just gushing to them about National :D :) :]
Everyone who doesn't live in Minnesota, well, you just may want to move here :) |
