ive uploaded some pics of mine in a couple of places on the web and it seems that the same color tones i upload it with, never are the same when its done uploading. Did i do something wrong? or is that what happens to everyone. Andddd if so, if there anyway to avoid it??

Have you checked your color space?

I don't know if it will help at all, but this thread from earlier today *might* help with the whole color space thing.

It may be completely unrelated though, in which case I apologize.

if you're using photoshop, there is a way to "proof" what you're viewing so it will look the same as when you upload it. related to the color space issue already mentioned.

you have to make sure to switch the color profile to sRGB. In photoshop you click edit, go to convert to profile, and change the colorspace to sRGB.

I probably didnt word the menus right, since its off the top of my head, but that will do the trick

You can do this from the Save for Web and Devices dialog, too. There's a little right-arrow that you can click and choose to convert to sRGB.
