Well I solves my problem of having a wide angle converter lens stuck on my Tamron 28-80.......

Canon 28-135mm IS USM.

WOW what a huge difference it makes, I'll post some of my first pictures with it tomorrow!!!

Thanks kswanson

Wait... what was the "wide angle converter" doing? Both lenses are 28mm at their widest.

Or did you mean a tele converter? (to lengthen the 80mm end of the Tamron lens)

Andy

I just received the Tamron lens in the mail today from kswanson.
My wife called me at noon to tell me the good news. Needless to say, I spent all afternoon at work thinking about ideas for centered comp challenge.

Thanks kswanson

No It is a lens you add on to half the focal length.

OK, so how does your new lens solve the wide-angle problem, given that the new lens is the same at the wide end?

But ... I still don't get it. How does the new lens "solve" this problem, if they both have 28mm on the wide end? You'd still need the same converter to "half the focal length". What difference did the new lens make that I'm not getting?

Ah I see, the problem was that the converter is a POS and all of a sudden I was stuck using only 14-40mm equivalent with that on there cutting out 40-70mm (a range I tend to favor) and since the lens was such a cheap one Link I took it as a sign to move on to a better lens and use the old one as a cheap WA lens for now..
