In some challenges I simply don't care about the challenge description (like this one)
and if the picture has anything to do with the challenge description - well lucky me.
I just pick a picture that I like and post it mostly to read the comments.
True I get a few DNMC but every now & then there is a comment thats a pleasure to read.

Because I DO care about the challenge description (especially this one) and I thought the image would've scored higher than it is. And it is definitely not DNMC! It can't be more obvious that I have photographed a body part....and yet I still check my score...and I still watch my score drop.

Judi - I can't even imagine how any of the human body parts you would photograph could possibly droop in score. Oh wait, that was drop.

I finished up a challenge with a 3.8 once. On my 2nd challenge ever. Before you could self-dq. Maybe we could start a new "Under 4" club. I bet there are more of us than one would think. In my case, now, after the wounds and tears have long healed. . .I actually don't mind telling of it. Your photography is awesome, Deb, and once that 3.8 is a distant memory, it just may be something you're rather proud of too :)

I have no horse in this race but I did just finish voting and I hope I've boosted a few of you scores...

Predicted an even 5 for a last-minute thought (inspiration would be too strong a word for it; I just couldn't bear having only one lonely little entry after Tuesday rollover). And I have:

I like my Centered Composition much better than my Body Part (is there some sort of subliminal message I should be paying attention to in that?) so I'm hoping that entry will score more respectably. I would have liked to create a landscape but I have had almost no free time for playing in the past week or so, and won't for another week.
Speaking of which, back to work :-( |

I self DQ'ed my entry today as I never read the part about "Human" body parts, LOL! I was surprised that I was still pulling a 5 when it clearly DNMC. I was up to 12 comments reminding me. Never DQ'ed before and had I not made a mistake on reading the challenge description I would have left it in. I've had a number of sub 5 scores with over 100 entries so no big deal there.
My entry would have made a great centered compositon but alas, it was taken the day before that challenge started. |

Somebody is sitting on a score that IMO should end up making this page when this challenge is over. Just blew me away! Outstanding photo in many ways. I can't wait for rollover and I'm not even in this challenge! :-D

i'm a 'new member' so I don't really care what my 'score' is -but I do hope more people will comment and critique my work so I can improve -and or leave as is and not get 'worse' trying to improve on my own :) :-D

nah- i bet it will rise; mine goes up and down like a bouncy-ball when i do look at it :) -just shift your focus to the comments -at least you got more than 3 ! |

| Judi - I can't imagine you not submitting a GREAT body part photo!!!! I suspect this challenge was created with you in mind. I can't wait to see the score I gave you. Most of the submittals DID meet the challenge in my opinion. |
