Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

I'm trying to put my name and a copyright symbol on some photos. For whatever reason I can't get a copyright symbol Â© to show up in the "text" box. I'm holding the "alt" key plus "0169" but nothing happens. Any ideas? Also how do I change the size of the font in GIMP? Thanks!!!

What operating system?

Have you tried cutting and pasting the copyright symbol from, say, Notepad?

To get the copyright symbol, open up Notepad, create it there using alt "0169" then copy into the text entry field in Gimp.

To see the text options, including font-size, double click on the text tool button.

One more thing.... I changed the font size in Notepad but it won't change in GIMP. It stays the same size. Any ideas?

You need to change the font in gimp, it's irrelevant how you format the text in notepad.

That's what I figured but I can't find any font settings in GIMP. :(

I don't have that "Tool Options" tab. Just "Tools". I go under that and there is a "text" selection but no dropdown menus. Click on text and it just allows me to type my text, no options though.

Try clicking on Dialogues and selecting Tool Options. What version of Gimp are you using?

One thought, I see you're new here so do you know you can't add text to any challenge entries? If you do already know that, my apologies.
