I'm sorry she was like that.
I would put at least 8 weeks for a timeline. I have heard stories where albums have taken that long on occasion.
I'll bring some hot dogs to the roast.

Sorry to disappoint. I've used up all my firewood, propane, napalm and gasoline on my own clients this week. >:( Don't get me started.
I read the thread. Not that it matters now, but Juliet is right on the money and it sounds like you sucked it up a little bit, but the gift certificate was more like a final jab to her - Laura's (oOWonderBreadOo) suggestion about a couple free framed prints would have been better and - some of this has been said, some not - Regarding her badmouthing you to others: don't underestimate the power of diplomacy, professionalism and suck-it-upness to turn a potential business ruining detractor into an evangelist for your business. I have, and I have known many who have pissed off a client bad enough that they wanted to sue, but have managed to turn them around with some of the methods suggested here and they have made several referrals which turned out to be very good and lucrative clients. I've also been on the client end where I have been so pissed off, but the business goes way out of their way to make it up, I'm impressed enough to recommend them to others - particularly if it was just a one time mistake or issue and I was otherwise happy with their quality.
So, no - I did not torch any of my clients villages this week as VERY tempted as I was - I sucked it up and will be better off for it in the long run. I will admit however, that I do torch clients in effigy to relieve stress. Try that.

would it change you mind if I mentioned that instead of calling our office line she called my cell.... everyday
really, and you would have to be here to know, there was going to be no sucking up, from the time they ordered she started calling about the next week. every day, "no your stuff is not really we will let you know when the cards are designed", "No not today, we told you yesterday that..." You get the picture...

I helped my little sister with a wedding like that.
About a week after the wedding, the mother of the bride started calling my sister with some new question or complaint. This went on for about 3 months. Toward the end of that time period, she started calling everyday.
At one point, she was complaining that we had no shots during the ceremony, and none of the wedding party inside the church. That is true, we didn't. HER DAUGHTER had strictly admonished that NO shots were to be taken during the ceremony, and no flash was to be used in the church. Apparently, though, bride didn't tell mom that.
Finally, my sister asked the mother if she was depressed about the daughter getting married. Mom admitted, yes, she was, and since we were there, it was easy to call her and "talk" about the wedding, daughter, etc. My sis just told her that she wasn't a counselor and that she couldn't help, so calling her for help wasn't doing much good. I think that was the last phone call. |

AFter the threat of legal action was made, I'd simply request that she submit her queries in writing. |

The other thing you prob want to do is find 1 or 2 alternate product sources for the stuff you normally provide, so if one is back-ordered you can check the other and print there instead... like a primary/secondary type of thing you no doubt have with the camera hardware.
