damn, i was just going to submit a photo for the free study, but i'm dithering between a landscapish-hdr-ish-color shot that has the potential to finish top 40 (i guess...) and a b&w shot that will probably bomb but me likes it a lot more then the color one... what to do what to do...???

Go to the poll thread and select yes, then wait to see what happens!!

the problem is, i already voted no without knowing what i was actually voting for and now i can't change my mind...
lol

Based on what you've been up to in the side challenge, I vote for the B&W. (I wimped and went with the color this time. I'm going to try to do at least half the free studies in B&W, though.)

How much does a Top 40 mean to you and do you really care?

I'm B&W in two Challenges upcoming and I feel like a million bucks. One has a lot of DPC no no's but...whateverrrrrrr.

k4ffy-I use Lightroom and find it to be the easiest thing I've had in my hands. It takes me seconds to do a basic conversion that I can live with but I sometimes re-tweak things at a later date. Grayscale seems to work for me and I only play with the individual colors if there's something that I need to bring out.

I left a few notes on the images titled Sleeping Beauty and The Mechanic posted above.
