Mine's kind of middle of the road in scoring, but I rerally like it and the comments I've gotten have been really nice from people I respect and admire.

Hey I fully understand your frustration with people and the (lack of) score you are getting. I get that and I don't want to piss you off or anything but is it necessary to be insulting to those who may not have all of the talent, knowledge and experience such as yourself? I don't know that I consider myself talented or even knowledgeable but I am most certainly not unintelligent or a dummy nor have I encountered anyone on here I would describe as such. Not trying to attack you but the thought runs through my head that it doesn't seem to make this a very friendly place. Honestly it makes me not want to comment on the pics at all for fear of being labeled a dummy. Would you honestly like it better if no one commented on your pic except to pat you on the back. It seems to me that with comments you should take what you want from them and leave the rest. Just my thoughts and you can take them or leave them but I would ask that you not call me a dummy for having them and sharing them.

Slippy is not trying to be intentionally rude, it's just his thing to make comments like that. I can appreciate, however, that it may come off poorly until you've seen a few dozen of his posts. He's really one of the more colorful personalities on this forum.

That's cool. It did come off poorly but I don't know the man and it's hard to tell what exactly is being imparted with only words and no inflection or body language. It may be a running joke to insult those who are critical of his pictures. I am new here basically so I didn't know. No hard feelings slippy.

How many comments have you left in that challenge so far? I'm at 11% (33 comments) but aiming for 20% (Steve's already there). It doesn't always equal out but in order to get comments, SOMEONE has to leave them.

Nice work, Susan! I'll try to catch up to you this evening, but no guarantees. And my HUGE climb has been dropping a bit. Still, when the cliff isn't very high, you don't have far to fall and that's probably a good thing. :-)

I suppose what you mean by that is that I make this an unfriendly place and it is people like me who are causing a problem. Lady this matter was settled and done. Why do you feel the need to jump in here and call me unfriendly. I obviously made an error in interpreting his comment. I acknowlede that. I don't think I was completely out of line as yospiff understood at least slippy's comment might not come off too well. I think also that I did not even respond in an unfriendly manner in the first place. "I don't think it is slippy that makes it an unfriendly place" you write. I agree. That title now goes to you. sigh. What is the purpose of your comment?

Mine has been hanging right around this number. A little up. A little down. 2 more comments and both were very nice. This may end up being my personal best even though I really thought it would tank completely. Then again maybe the average vote is at about a 7 or something. Would anyone else want to know what the current average vote is for all pictures in the challenge. That way you would know how you were really faring against the others. I have a thread in the site suggestions forum about this if you want to check it out.

You can see the challenge averages once voting is over. I have some pet theories as to what's going on with the voting. It's been really weird on this one.
