I had some fun at our MotoX event a week ago. Unfortunately I have a bung shoulder so carrying the lens was a little difficult....but I got some okay shots. Here are a few from the selection...basically straight from the camera...no croppings.

Here is the link to the rest of them. MotoX 16 March 2008

Thanks everyone. I haven't had time to title or add details to the images. There were all taken with the 5D & 50-500 Sigma combination using a variance of focal distances. They were all handheld.

They look great, Judi. I can't look at the full images very long - I quit racing about 20 years ago and whenever I see MotoX images or watch videos or even smell two-stroke exhaust (I know, they've all gone to four-stroke bikes now), my heart starts racing and I start sweating and I get a certain kind of fever that compels me to go down to the bike shop and start looking and touching and then I'd be in a whole heap of trouble. :(

What exactly were you planning on going and touching . . . you know I worry easily but we don't want to have the SWAT team called out again.

:- )

eta - nice shot's Judi. I'm sure plenty of those guy's would be willing to pay for shots of this quality. I would and I'm not even in them :- )

Glad you posted that comment! I was wondering what lens you had used to get that close. These are really great shots.

Art I can relate. I used to love taking the bikes over the jumps....and even though some years have passed I still get an adrenaline rush every time I shoot this sport.
