So what do you think I should charge for this? I was thinking about $150 dollars. It is my old roommate and cousin. They are also paying for my gas to get their which may be as much as the shoot. Does that sound fair? It will be used for an awards competition and for her website. Prints would be more on top obviously. Any thoughts? |

What are the photos being used for? I'd say $150 is way too little, in my opinion. You have to keep in mind that(at least in my area, Pittsburgh) a pro would charge $1000-$1500 just for showing up. Usage charges are on top of that. |

In computer graphics and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.

I have an opportunity to do some real estate photography but they want me to do some staging (bring flowers, hand towels and assorted other props). Is this common? |

Very. If you're gonna do it well, you need to be able to handle setting up a room to photograph well. Hell, sometimes we delivered entire van-loads of FURNITURE, LOL.

There are companies who specialize in staging rooms. If you are not confident in this area, you might be able to hire them, and add it to the bill. |

They're not offering me enough to bring furniture LOL! Or hire anyone else. I may need to hit up the Salvation Army for some lovely (nicely priced) props. |
