That's good to know. I'd imagine some type of proof of anomaly is required; i.e. - another image (besides the original) with the same "hair" in the same position? Otherwise it could be just a waterspot on the lens, etc...

We've DQ'd for water spots before. Sensor/lens dust has a fairly distinct appearance.

Glad, you can see where it is on the one that was taken back in January.

Luckily the ones I am thinking of entering, do not show the cat hair.

AND even Better News!!!!!

I took the camera out inot the sun adn opened up to clean the sensor. Low and Behold the sunlight caught a microscopic thinnest of thin white hair thing, it almost looked like a thread from a Q tip. Got some surgical tweezers and managed to work it out of the soft plastic in there.

so HOPEFULLY, that was what was causing the problem. See even when you pay to have it cleaned they can not always get it.

That's great news. If you could see it in the camera, then most likely that was the problem! Quick, go shoot something at f 16.
