this doesnt really mean anything of course...

Here's why Canon has SUCH a broad lead:

Search Nikon and it goes straight to Nikon Corporation. There's a lot of other things called or referred to as "canon."

Who knows, perhaps they lead anyways. I'm just sayin- the reason it's SO much bigger is because of that.
