I don't NEED it necessarily...but I kind of want a new body. My d40 has been great, but lately im discovering its limitations.
Guy on craigslist has one for $800..., send me a JPG and exif says only 5k actuations, seems not bad. Should i bite, or see if prices on new ones come down? |

| I'd be relatively suspicious, given recent discussions of photography scams on Craigslist. |

| Have you looked at the stuff for sale here on DPC? Pretty sure Kosmickreeper and Grigri have 200's for sale... for nearly the same price... might be worth checking out. |

i would check out www.nikonians.org or on this site, or bhphoto.com or adorama.com BEFORE ever buying from Craigslist!! Unless the guy is local and you can physically check out the camera, I would pass.
I was going to buy a used 200 and searched for about 2 months, but then got a new 300 instead. Do your homework, check around!! |

| Keep in mind the jump from a Nikon D40 to a D200. Not the price or image quality but learning curve. ;) |
