Which Canon camera? Which version of Lightroom and CS3? There are new updates for both.

I'm using Lightroom for 40D files without issue. 40D was supported in 1.3 so even without the upgrade it should work.

Do you have one you can upload somewhere to see if someone else can load it? Unless there's some camera setting that is causing it not to be recognized, I have no idea what's wrong.

is the flux capacitor operational?
you also might check the dylitihium crystals.

What are your steps for copying your images to your computer? Do you use a card reader?

It's not recognizing the files when you hook the camera directly to the 'puter, I don't think. I've heard of this before; it only "sees" the JPG files. Get a card reader; they are cheap and fast. You can get them at Staples, Radio Shack, lots of places. Firewire if you have it, or USB 2.0; plug it in and the 'puter reads it as an external drive, you can read and write both.

Open up the drive from the desktop, open up the destination folder you want the images in, and drag 'n drop, basically. Then you should be good to go.
