| Since I'm a newbie to dslr and all, don't laugh. I just bought a used lens from Adorama. It's a Tamron 28-300 f/3.5/6.3 LD IF F/EOS *72. I think I've figured most of it out, but what is the switch that is simply labeled L for? |

| Check and see if that locks the zoom in place. I don't have one of these but that sounds reasonable. The other guess I have is that it turns it into Canon L glass. :-) |

| Thank you! Yes I feel stupid, it's a lock. I'd love the L glass option though. LOL! |
