I don't live in the US, and I don't care
I'm not undecided, it does matter to me, and I do live in the US. I'm also not rooting for any of the three listed candidates.
I would've like to at least see a generic "Third Party" option, or even "Other." Without proselytizing, those candidates are up against unsurmountable hurdles. They run anyway.
Laws are set up to perpetuate the two party system. Then there's those that would vote third party, but fear they are throwing away their vote. If everybody actually voted their conscience, some doors might open. I'm not asking you to vote third party. I highly encourage you to vote for the candidate that represents your values, but also at least let me say who "I'm rooting for."
I'll also say that my vote is not going to Nader, but I am surprised that he didn't get mentioned in the list.
Did you know that it only takes a party receiving 5% of the popular vote in the prior election to get federal funds to support a candidate's presidential run? Did you also know that in order to get on the televised debates run by the non-partisan (ha! bipartisan ≠ non-partisan) cpd, the party would have to have 15% support in national polls before the debates, many of which ask questions JUST LIKE THIS ONE which don't give them ANY chance.
"Who are you supporting: John, Obama, Hillary, or undecided?"
They average 5 polls, so if Gallup doesn't doesn't include Candidate X in the selection choices, he/she has to make it up by getting 30% in, say, Harris...that is, if Harris includes him/her.
Soooo...your tax dollars could be used to fund a candidate that has "no chance to win" and you wouldn't even get a chance to hear him/her speak.
Oh, and hi. I'm Jon. I'm new here, so I have no idea how this will go over, but it is a rant. At the very least I think I put it in the right area.
