I am currently planning to run a juried photo contest as a fundraiser for the 2008 Challenge Walk MS. I'm currently seeking nominations (or self-nominations) for judges for the contest. I am looking for profesisonal photographers, professional artists, and art or photography instructors who would be willing to volunteer their time to help judge a contest like this.
I'm still working out the details of the contest, but the intent is to charge an entry donation per photo for the contest. There will be cash prizes, of course, and comments/critiques given at the discretion of the judges. There will likely also be the option to make an additional donation, a sort of "premium" entry fee, in exchange for a guaranteed critique.
If you or someone you know might be interested in judging a photo contest like this, please reply here, and include a brief description of your (or that person's) credentials.
Thanks,
~Terry

I nominate Ed Clarke. Credentials: look at his photographs. Then look at his comments. |

You may wish to ask Robert ( Bear_Music) - if he has the time, he's probably be willing to help out. |

Sure. I'm happy to be a judge for this event.
Credentials, as per request: Retired professional photographer, formerly taught photography at UCSD, member of jury for several juried exhibitions in the 80's, time on my hands.

Wow - with posthumous, Bear & biteme as judges it'd be an amazing contest. No one could doubt their credentials or taste (well, people could but they'd be silly).
amathiasphoto sound like he has the credentials as well!
Great cause Terry - good luck!

One last bump for nominations.
If you know any non-DPCers that might be interested, that'd be awesome too.
I'd like to start the submission period in late March.
