If they know what they're doing, then yes, but only at whatever resolution they are displayed at. They will have to use screen capture. |

Um, no insult intended, but if you don't know what a screen capture is than you have more to worry about than, "Can people steal my photos?" |

Screen capture is telling the computer to save what's being displayed on the screen. If you photo can be displayed on the computer screen, then it can be copied by this technique. The catch is that the resolution of the captured file is always the screen resolution, no more, no less. So the best quality they can obtain is the screen size. If the screen is larger than the picture in size (in pixels) then the photo must be enlarged to fit. So saving the slide show at a reduced resolution can help avoid files usable for printing falling into the wrong hands. |

Sorry, I'm just a bit loopy today. The wife had a meeting in Tampa last night and I drove her home. 4 hour drive. Got home at 2:15am. Up 6 hours later to take her to work. Can't keep a cohesive thought, but too awake to nap.
Keeping your images safe is basically impossible unless you lock them away and only show them to people while you are around. One of the many debates around these parts that rears it's head is trying to protect image on a website. The draw back is that for every way there is to protect the image, there are 10 to get around it. Same with DVD slide shows.
It's a balancing act between displaying your work and keeping control of your work. |
