i have been shooting concerts for a while, mostly without flash at 1600 or 3200 my question is this, if i overexpose by one stop and then adjust it back down to the correct exposure in camera raw will this reduce the amount of noise?? or should i underexpose?? help!! |

Keep the exposure as long as possible. Though, of course, if you can afford the shutter speed of overexposing I have to wonder why you don't just go down to a lower iso. |

i need to keep my shutter above 125th to keep from getting motion blur, the 5d seems to lose detail at 3200, does anyone else have the 5d and shoot concerts, i use the 50 1.8 and i feel its too soft at 1.8 so i usually stop down to 2.2 at least, i got the 24 105 also but this is definately too slow. I'm unsure what to do because i cant afford the 24-70 and i think the 85mm is too long... its bloody hard this concert photography stuff, im ranting now!! whats the solution?? |
