What does that mean? |
There are some other challenges in the past, they were pretty much shocking, possibly only to me... results wise... and also some of the overall winners getting very low scores, llike 1's and 2's... When I see those, I go "COM'OOOOON".. can't help start laughing... I go "This can't be happening".
Well, I am a talker. And talkers start conversations. I did. I like my idea, I like what I think, how I think. Judge me, we talk about it. Nothing wrong what I say, and some of us know that.
one or two challenge a year with selected judges would be very cool. |

I DID want to be heard by those people as well as by SCs... that's the idea here to start a thread ;) |

LOL, i wish you could hear yourself. Who are YOU to say whats best and worse?! And I've asked you twice to tell me what you were thinking, and you havn't, which is exactly what your complaining about. Step outside youself and have a look.
Edit:ok, you explained one while i was typing this.

Bit of a sidetrack starting here; I was surprised also (with legit comments made IMO). Yes, it is a funny shot, and the win is well deserved based on the end voting results. As for your curiosity I don't think it will fly here in public forums. DPC has had threads in the past critiquing top finishers (positive and negative), but it fizzled every time, which is too bad IMO. Would be good experience to dig a little deeper into what works, what doesn't, why we (DPC community) like/dislike certain things in a photo. You know, a healthy, learning debate of sorts. :-)
ETA - link to thread I was thinking about (which I'll now go bump). :-) Why did THAT picture ribbon?

How totally arrogant and into yourself you are...
A fella by the name of Leroy got banned not too long ago for being disruptive to the extreme (in some people's minds).
If you ask me... which you wouldn't, this type of thread is far more damaging and disruptive. But of course a little smile at the end of your sentence makes it ok.
The blue ribbon winner DESERVED the ribbon and the respect... 217 votes say so.
Perhaps you could start a thread on how to express a view in a respectful manner.
BTW... just my opinion of course. :)

Is that a threat?
EDIT..
I am sure it's not. Because I have done nothing wrong but suggesting something for the challenge. Why did I do that? that bothers some in DPC... I don't know. So, before we go into deeper, let me say this again, this is a suggestion for challenges with judges only. I have suggested in the past, I can do it again. Time changes somethings, you never know.
Why? again, it doesn't matter. If you like the idea, I am happy you do, if not, oh well. In the future maybe I have other stuff in my mind and I will tell you about them ;) I always do :)

I would have to agree with this. FocusPoint, your comment on the blue ribboner, made after the vote, just plain sucks. It's a crappy comment, irrespective of how fundamentally you disagree with the win. It's reeks of know-it-all attitude, sour grapes, and lack of respect for the feelings of others. There are about thirty million better ways to express the exact same opinion on the ribboner without being so rude. Just keepin' it real.

My comment is not that crappy. I was just disagreeing with the score, that's all. Can I do that?
I had no idea which one would win the ribbon... how could I comment it before.

Well, CONGRATULATIONS FOCUS,
You have now totally ruined someone's day by saying their shot shouldnt have won.
All you are doing is coming across as a 'bad sport' and or spoiled brat.
Just becuase you do not agree, there is no reason to take it and drop it in the mud and stamp your feet all over it.
I don't see any Blues on your page. Sour Grapes dude

I just wonder, if we had to revote a challnge after first one daone... which was never done before... what would happen? what would be the outcome since we know the first results now.
NO... I am not suggesting we do that... just thinking out loud :D |

Why? If you all think that is the winner, no one's fun should be ruined... I get the blame, and we all go home. |

It's been determined by the community that that one is the winner. End of story. |

Hey FP, I do Olympic TKD for sport in competitions and our master always tells us that theres always bias in competitions. That if we lose due to a cheap shot that we just take it for what it is. If you dont agree with the winner, just let it be. Dont be gripping, it doesnt look good man. Just win the next challenge ;)

Yeap. Show me anywhere in this post, or other posts of mine that I was very rude... I will apologize for it. I never said anything that I think I would hurt people, I reflect my thoughts, and argue (in good way) with people.

If you think it's perfectly reasonable to comment on a blue ribboner by saying "this should not have been the blue," then following up with the over-the-top sarcasm of "congrats well-deserved winner," then any amount of explaining your bad behaviour is probably a colossal waste of time. |

This on it's own would have been fine. However, in context with what preceded it, it is backhanded. On one hand you say it shouldn't have won then make a 180 degree turn to say the win is well deserved. |
