| The website is nice, i think the presentation of the images could be changed... the flash doesn't seem like it's "integrated" into the site. your photos however, are amazing! |

| I wonder how many people can read the captions? I had a very hard time because the font color is so light. |

Yup..... try selecting the box under the photo, then you'll see the text turn up in "negative"...... bit like magic ink, huh? ;-) |

alright, I ask for these here and there, and not to be rude to anyone, usually dont get the depth of a crit that I would like, so I really am goin to try to make this the best I can for you. First, the website address on the banner is nice, but I would center it inside the picture. It just looks thrown in place there. Also remove "home" or center that as well. You are the photographer trying to sell yourself, capitalize your name man! In your categories on the left, all of them are lower case except for "online shop". Make them ALL capitals or ALL lower case. Concistency is important. Also, "birds,boats n random stuff" first, there needs to be a space between birds and boats, second, the random stuff part sounds bad, how about something like "birds, boats, etc." or "birds, boats and more". Lastly for the homepage I dont think that your main photo is centered (compare it to the text below it), but its SO close to being centered. Either go all the way, or not at all, otherwise it looks awkward. I would also make that pictue much larger. Its all about photography, SHOW IT OFF MAN!
Whales and dolphins section- Some pretty impressive stuff here! I would probably be more consistent with the placement of your copyright. I am guessing you put it where it is visible, but having it jump around looks like it was thrown together. Even if you have to make it a different color, it should probably be consistent. Also, that is alot of scrolling! I would either put more than two to a row, even if it means making the thumbnails smaller, or removing some of them, as a few are quite repetative.
Seascapes- Wow, I want to go wherever it is that you are, so these are GREAT! The third to the last is very ordinary, and should be removed IMHO though. Online portofolios really should just show the great stuff! Same thing about copyrights as mentioned earlier. Also, still alot of scrolling.
The waves section- there are a couple very good shots in there, but most of this is not your best work I would say. The good stuff is also very repetative too (1, 2, 8, 9, 12, 13) I would keep ONE of these on your site, put it in a different section, and probably take the rest of them down.
Surfers- Some great angles on these shots. Here I say keep em all, and market yourself towards surfers with these. Great work here, but again, to much scrolling!
on birds,boats n stuff page- I would remove the bee picture and fireworks. Good shots, but look SO out of place. The digeridoo shot is GREAT, and has the ocean in the background, so works nicely. Good shot.
The price page- Why does it say $25, when nothing is selected, and when you do select something, it doesnt change. This page is very confusing, and needs a bit of work to me.
Lastly, the banner on top, on every page, I would center all of the text, and make the WHOLE banner a link back to your homepage.
I really do like the site, please dont think I am ripping it apart, just trying to really help! |

| with captions, you cannot read them, I didnt even find them! I am guessing though, that this may be to help with keywords on search engines, no? |

I don't like the watermark, something less obtrusive would be a lot nicer IMO.
Also the header is misaligned. If that's intentional it doesn't look it. |

| thanks everyone for taking a look at my site.i think i will delete the captions because the font colour is supposedly black but as you all pointed out you cant see it.as for the header title being off center,i know it doesnt look right and it pisses me off a bit ,but i cant get it to move for some reason.a few people also mentioned its a pain having to scroll thru the thumbnails(i didnt know it was such hard work,but anyway..) is there a better way to display them?there didnt seem to be any other options for this in the templates.ive tried making them smaller but still have to scroll down.i know the watermarks are ugly,but when i put them in a less intrusive spot,people were stealing my pics and cloning or cropping the watermark out.i put them in a section of the photo that makes it harder to clone out,hence the w/m being in random places. bear in mind its a $100 a year website and im not a computer genius(or any other sort for that matter),so its going to be a fairly basic site,but im mostly happy with it.thanks again.steve |
