| Ok, I do believe I'm going to shoot my television the next time I hear that annoying President's Day commercial for Chevy. You know, the one with the creepy, semi-rap version of Hail to the Chief in it ("Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the United States"). I'd almost rather hear those old, annoying Bob Seger "Like a Rock" commercials. Anyone with me? |

Better than shooting your television, its better that you send it to me. I have ays of making it talk, muahahaha.
Actually I don't know the commercial, I live on the DVR 95% of the time and fast forward all the commercials. :) |

| I do think that is annoying but nothing tops that verizon? commercial with the couple doing baby talk to each other. I get the urge to smash my TV every time that comes on. |

DVR! DVR! DVR!
It has totally changed the way we watch TV. Before I got it, I thought about the number of times I had recorded a TV show on VHS to watch later (if it's anything more than 1 or 2, I really don't remember!) and so I didn't think we would ever really use the DVR. How WRONG I was! We hardly ever watch live TV. And when we do ... we relish taking breaks during the movie just to let the DVR get ahead of us.

I remember a few years back when I saw a Chevy commercial. The music was from the ending of Walk on the Wild Side by Leu Reed, I fell of the chair laughing, it was short lived.

I couldn't agree with you more. DVR is worth every penny!

TV? I can count on less than one hand the hours of TV I watch per month as well as listening to the radio for exactly those reasons.
Having a radio playing at work and hearing the same stupid commercial for the 12th time during the day gets really old.
Can someone should send Billy Mays (Oxystuff) somewhere very far away? I hate anyone that has to yell to speak. |

Remembering this one from the Reagan years:
"America feels good about itself again! And Dodge trucks are..."
My television got flipped the finger a lot during that time.

NO kidding.... My DVR is loaded to the gills with stuff I am planning to "catch up on". I'm about a month behind. And I have ALL the "Good Eats" shows to browse at my leisure... love it!
