Strictly for uptight designer types like myself: please redirect dpchallenge.com to www.dpchallenge.com so that one's browsing history only includes www.dpchallenge.com. Purely a cosmetic issue, but one that most important websites abide by. For an example, navigate to cnn.com, adobe.com, or thestar.com and watch them redirect to their www.* aliases. |

His point wasn't that it doesn't work, it's that is shows up as two different sites in your browser history. By redirecting, you end up with only one site. |

Right, as I said it's an uptight cosmetic issue, not a functional issue. |

louis wouldn't this be in the province of the administrators.
So perhaps a ticket to them would be the best way to get the change considered?
Just askin'.

It would be, but I'm sure they don't want to hear from the likes of me. :-P Anyway as mentioned it's purely cosmetic.. would be nice though. |

Not that I object, Louis, but why do you care what's in your browser history?

As mentioned, it's a cosmetic issue for uptight jerks like me. It's not merely the browsing history though, but the URL locater. I think it's done at enterprise sites like adobe.com and cnn.com to better brand their websites and to offer a uniform surfing experience to their customers. I had our company do this several years ago, and it's always been a bit of an eyesore for me whenever I see that it isn't implemented at popular sites. More sites that do it: facebook.com, myspace.com, google.com, msn.com, and dozens more (though notably not youtube.com). |
