Just got given a Pentax ME Super

with a 50mm, 35-70mm and a 80-200mm :D

is there anyway i can also use these lenses on my Canon 350D?

Yeh if they are screw fit - you can get a 42mm screw thread adapator to canon, only works in manual mode. There are loads on ebay. I have one for my mamiya 50mm f1.4 which is pentax screw fit

edit to add - they probably do pentax baynot fit adaptors as well, they have adaptors for most type lens fittings.

whats the downside? other than manual only, because surely this would save everyone hundreds on lenses?

you could just switch all your gear to the more superior brand: pentax ;)

There are a lot of people who use these here at DPC. It can be a pain with manual mode unless your used to pre auto focus days etc. I dont use mine that much because it was hard to focus with my 300d - I have not tried it out on my 30D yet, might do that.

This is the only one I have on here ( I have fixed the problem with it being stuck at f1.4 now, thanks to some superglue!)

Manual focus is probably the least of your worries. You may need to manually meter as well.

That was my first ever serious SLR camera, which I purchased new in 1982, it's a great one with beautiful clear sharp focusing. Have fun with it!
