| Am I the only one confused by the rules? Am I supposed to shoot in color and then make some parts in black and white and leave parts in color? Or am I supposed to shoot things that are black and white in color? And if it is the latter, why do we have advanced editing? |

I am about as inspired as dog snot, can not think of anything.
The way I am reading it, is take a picture of a colour thing but have it so that it is grey scae or black and white, silhouettes come to mind.
arrrrrrrrrrrrrr gotttttaaa think of something

juliet, take a look at the last challenge. the link is below. you'll see that the subject and background are mostly black, white, and/or gray. there may be little splashes of color, but you'd almost think they are B&W. |

I'd say find some snow but there isn't too much where you are!!!

I think I may have had an idea, but after trying to calibrate this moniture, i am screwed whatever I do.

Hmmm,,,my DNMC shot is in. I read the challenge details as you subject or subjects needs to be in black and white, not the whole image....lol. Good luck to all....
Challenge details;
Take a COLOR photo of a black & white (or gray scale) subject or subjects. Conversion/desaturation to black and white or shooting in black and white is NOT allowed. |

mine is in, too... did not have much time so I did not get to tune the shot as much as I would like, but at least I will have a reason to click "update" 1000 times a day!
