We have all of these pet portrait challenges. How about one for your pet in action? |

Oh no... you MUST be specific with your request, you don't want to open Pandora's pet box :P

He-he. That would work. :-)
Feeding time gets em moving a little also...if you're not careful you can end up with 'pet owner in action' as you trip over the cat weaving between your legs. |

Too late: spent a week shooting for the portrait, and only 2 out of 150 were NOT in action. |

I like that idea. It makes a challenge out of the challenge. Hard for people with fish and snakes and hamsters though. It could just be animals in motion, so people could shoot zoo shots too.
One of mine top tenned a previous Pets challenge with a portrait in motion, I only see a few of those in this challenge. People probably figure traditional portraiture scores better, but the challenge description this time DID say "creative photo of your pet". |

Quite right, it did say "creative." It also said "portrait," and this "created" some cognitive dissonance. For me. Alas, I chose the safe route, though I and one of my consultants preferred a much more controversial possibly creative one. Perhaps this business of "creative portraits" needs to be explored. |

I have some great action shots of dogs but I didn't want to enter them in the Pet Portrait challenge because I figured they would get DNMC'd for not being a portrait. The one I wanted to enter is in my portfolio. |
