Deb, I'm sorry to say I don't think you are going to get the brown after seeing all the entries, LOL. But yours is truly fabulous. I wanted to give it a 10, I mean 1, but can't since I know which one it is.
Edit to add: right now I've got the highest score I've seen in this thread, but that is not necessarily a good thing. I think "Brown of the Brown" is the real prize here!

That sounds like the most boring thing I've ever heard. |
Tell them fearless leader! We may suck but we are not boring.
Come to think of it - I've been accused of both at the same time. |

If you're giving tens to shots that you think are aiming for the brown, simply because you think that and not because of the quality of the picture or your normal criteria for judging, then you are exhibiting bloody-mindedness of a significant order, I think.
I think, also, that it is indeed implicit in the challenge that one might make some sort of stereotype dpc success snap while retaining reference to a brown ribbon ting, but I also also think that identifying interesting things in a photograph that has not scored well and building or playing on those things to create a new version is not synonymous with seeking to increase the dpc attractiveness of the underlying motive.
I may or may not be boring, but I can definitely say boring things. |

I am not sure what you said here but I was wondering if you are just upset I didn't give you some 10s on your brown ribboners :-P
ETA: Please know I am just teasing.

I'm using my local advantage of living in the heart of Whiterook Territory to maintain a score comfortably in the mid-g range. Stephen will be so proud of me :-)
Mine, incidentally, is a legitimate attempt to see what the original was trying to accomplish, and then accomplish exactly that.

Actually, you're not quite on the top of the list anymore because you're playing nice in the Posthumous Ribbons thread. But you're still the antipost. |

Not bad, but I thought it was better than this. Of course, this is also better than most of my recent entries, lol. Peace is going well, though (over 5.8).
My 3 commenters all really liked it - and one was the original photographer, lol.

So when antipasta and pasta come in contact with each other, do they annihilate each other so you can eat more?

I am envious of both your score and your comments. I have no idea about the matter/antimatter question, though. |
