I have a friend who would like me to design a website for her...a few pages, nothing fancy. I am no web designer but I designed my own website for our online business and I think it is pretty good. She looked at my website and said that she would like me to help her with hers.

What would be a fair price. It would probably take about 8 hours for me, maybe 10.

How would I figure out a price?

Can you show me what your website looks like?

20$/hour, so about 200 bones.

Now, it really depends on what you had to do that may rise or lower the price. The more complex, the higher.

Because of the nature of our relationship...we are friends from work but she left work to become a marriage and family therapist some years ago. I have been going through a terrible time in my life and I have started seeing her as a therapist over the last few months. So because of this, I think she feels she needs to pay me something for my help. I'd like to trade a couple sessions with her for the website but ethically and legally she cannot do that.

Otherwise, I'd do it for nothing. I think $200 is fair.

My business site is www.thehealthhound.com I know the product images need work but I have not taken the time to fix them...

Thank you!

Well makes sense now. I asked because my freinds for this much of work just drops me and call tells you have to do it no option for saying no. let alone charging anything.
