-8F in Minneapolis. There is a beautiful rainbow frost ring around the moon.
I will watch the eclipse from the window. No shots from me. |

We heard the sonic boom from the space shuttle coming over on its way to land this morning, so today is going to be a spacey kind of day. |
70% cloud cover down here Waddy. Grrrrr... |

If you'd like to know exactly when and where the moon (as well as stars, planets, nebulas, etc) will be, I suggest you install Stellarium.
It is an incredible open source "planetarium for your computer". Truly awesome stuff, and it's free !!!!!!! |

This may be of some value if it has not already been posted.

It's too cloudy here, looks like we might not see it this time. I'm hoping for a break in the clouds in the next 30 mins, fingers crossed...

Perfectly clear here in southern Wisconsin! Lets hope these actually turn out and that my 70-200 is long enough (it's not, I know...)
Edit to add: Focusing these is harder than I thought it would be...

STUPID clouds, the first 1/4 went well, then BOOM a cloud bank. In TUCSON, who would have thought!

I don't think we'll be gettin' any Lunar Eclipse Love down here, Manic. I just drove to the beach and the clouds keep rolling in. Guess we'll be waiting for 3 years. |

We're quite a bit further inland here, and we just got a break! I can see the 3/4ths partial eclipse at the moment, hoping those clouds stay broken up for the next hour...

Bracket. I'm already at f/5.6 and 1s. Bracket +/-1EV and stack them later.

I feel lucky to see any of this. There is a bank of clouds just south I can see that keeps slowly creeping closer. The weather maps show these clouds slicing just south out to sea. |

D300 Interval Timer is making this a breeze! Hopefully my lazy eye is good enough to have this thing in focus. |

Lots of clouds here, but it's not blocking the view. My shots are only marginal form both cameras however. I'm getting decent exposure, but at full reach, the lenses on both my cameras are fuzzy. I can see the benefit of good glass. |
