I say, he must stay, we need a Leroy around here :D

As he was one of the first people to truly help me out, I think he should go.

i notice that there's a lot of people who like him (i don't know him) and i'm sure he knows that. he should do what he wants to do and (imo) he should consider the people here that he thinks of as friends. and i mean this only with respect, he shouldn't need a thread to be convinced.

I think he has to stay. I also think that in the interest of the community as a whole, that he should be given no choice in the matter.
Maybe Art could step in here and threaten some sort of burning / pillaging thingy? That seems to be his thing. I really, really don't want to use the threat of tying him to a chair with a hunk of cheese, making him log on at least daily. That would be going to far.

Definitely Leroy should stay. Without people like him around this place has a greater tendency towards the average, and he was pushing the envelope in his own way. I loved his work - funny, challenging at times, sexy and sometimes just straight up weird. It would be a real shame to miss out that dimension here....he's a great character with talent, sense of humour, brain and a helpful nature...he should be here...
And Leroy...if you are reading this buddy...come back....swallow the pride, accept it was a bad day and forget about it. There'll be a new scandal/dead horse item for the masses to feed on soon enough and you can get back to what you do so well - erotic art/nudes/hot babes/define it yourself :)

Regardless of whether or not I agree with his current issues, I admire the fact that he has the guts to fight for things he feels strongly about.
Many people wouldn't be willing to stick their necks out, it is so much easier to just go along with "the way it's always been" and to say what we know others want to hear.
Besides, stuff like this livens the place up a bit ;-)
Leroy, I'd miss you - keep hanging around and keep sharing your stuff. |

I can't answer that. I have a lot of respect for Leroy and I think he knows that. Over the past year I think his work has grown tremendously.
IMO, he shouldn't leave over the current "issue" because in a week or 2 I think he won't be so in the middle of it and will be able to move beyond it.
If however he does not feel the site can help him any longer and that the environment here is detrimental to his overall well being and happiness (and stress level) then I think he should go. DPC has been a great community but there are other communities out there where he can also learn and "hang out" with other photographers.
I won't say I'd miss him because if he left I'm sure I'd track him down and stalk him a bit online just to see what he's up to ;) |

This is IMHO a silly thread. Of course he shouldn't go but he should be expected to behave in an adult manner... If he or anyone else for that matter, wants to throw tantrums when he doesn't get his way then he should take his ball and go home...

| Even given the heated discussion yesterday, I do like the guy and his work (I'm a firm believer that you can disagree and argue with people you like :). Personally, I do hope he sticks around. |
