What a great premier to this new series. I didn't think it could compare with the original movie trilogy, but was I wrong!
Who else is watching Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles?

I saw it.
I thought the main charactors were shallow, and hard to want to care for.
The show is good, but.....
It's not a "BattleStar Gallactica".

I watched it too and I'm not completely sold on it. It is OK but characters are weak and the story is allll the same stuff. Maybe that is the point of it though.
Oh.. and "come with me if you want to live" didn't sound powerfull enough. |

If she said that in an Arnold voice, I probably wouldn't want to come with her.

I have been waiting my whole life for someone who looks like her to say just those exact words to me! Sigh!!!!!

The premise sounds good, will download on Bit-torrent and watch.. Need something whilst waiting for new "Heroes" and "Lost".
Others I have to try are
24 (never seen an episode but people at work rave about it)
Prison Break
The great thing about getting into these series really late is that if you find yourself hooked you have hours & hours to watch end to end instead of having to wait a week or more for the next episode.. Also, with Bit-torrent, it means no commerical breaks!!
I remember I didnt start watching LOST until it was almost the end of Season 3, so I downloaded the first ever episode and was completely sold on it straight away.. over 70 episodes back to back!! |

Sounds a lame to me honestly. Maybe it's just to fuel the fire for T4 thats due for release this year or next. I think if you're going to something terminateor-related without Arnie, it's gotta be damned good... so good in fact that you don't start thinking "where's Arnie?". But like most things adapted from movies (video games, comics, tv shows), it doesn't sound too hot.
Roll on season 4 of LOST. |

| If you haven't seen it then you should try The Wire, quite simply the best TV I've ever seen. |

| I hear the Wire is probably the best show on TV, I just haven't got around to watching it yet. For those who don't know, the show Dexter on Showtime is great as well. you should give the first season a look, you will get hooked. Back on topic, I saw alot of the first episode of Sarah Connor and it just wasn't doing it for me, maybe I'm stuck on the first two Terminators and everything else just seems like they're milking the franchise, can't blame them, but it doesn't do it for me. |

I think they're trying to appeal to a new set of Terminator fans. We grew up with T1 (1984) and T2 (1991) so the teenagers today probably haven't given those movies much thought. T3 doesn't really count because it sucked. It went the way of The Godfather in that respect but I digress.
I think making a TV show of a dynasty like Terminator dilutes the importance of the movies in modern cinema and like you say, feels like a cheap and easy method of getting some dollars. Kinda like the AVP movies. |

Wow! Last night's episode was the best, by far. It explained John's father and uncle (who was sent back to help stop Skynet). It showed how the machines had taken over and that the Resistance fighters had employed some cybernetic organisms (cyborgs) to help fight.
There was a scene where Cameron killed one of these "friendly" cyborgs because it had "gone bad". She explained that sometimes this happens and can't be explained. On the other hand, Cameron destroyed one of the Terminators (or did she?). She kept what appears to be the main chip of that Terminator and put it in her pocket. It leaves us wondering, is this cute cyborg about to go bad?...

Funny you should say that, as of last night the actor who plays "Bubbles" looks like he could be a recurring character on Sarah Conner Chronicles. One can only hope :) |
