My left hand fires quicker than my right, sometimes?
I'm an English teacher. I learned to stop being annoyed by grammar and such on the web a long time ago. I figure people are "talking" and the rules that govern spoken English are sometimes a bit different from written English.
About the only thing that grates me is when someone posts and uses NO punctuation.
(FWIW -- not using capital letters annoys many people as well. ) |

I think it's just a typo.

jonnienye, very very common typing error. It's not something like "axing me a question" vs. "asking me a question"... "teh" is honest mistake, "axing" is purposely changed during the years :) |

Arrrkkk, I do that all the time. I type faster than my fingers can type. Sorry, I will try to do better!

Happens to me all the time. Actually my biggest problem, though, is typing next letter before hitting space for next word, lik ethis... Firefox has a live spellchecker that works great for me and saves me a lot of grief.

That doesn't bother me.
What does is when people use 'I seen' instead of 'I have seen' or 'I saw'.
I guess if people use it long enough it will become one of the accepted forms of past tense. |

Actually, a lot of people will purposely type "teh" to be funny ... or at least a couple years ago they did. The fad has mostly passed, so these days if you see it it's likely a typo.
But yes, for a while it was part of "internet speak": "that 1337 hax0r pwns teh int0rweb funnay!"

The dissolution of the english language is happening all around us.
There was a news peice over here a couple of years ago how exam boards were considering grading papers even if the student used "text language" to write it in. Example:
I fink U iz wkd.
2b R nt 2b.
etc...
It never went ahead luckily as common sense prevailed for once but it seems a tough fight to reclaim correct spelling and grammar. |

My favourite is "thnaks." It's only a typo, but it just looks and sounds so dumb. :-) |

That's doesn't bother me nearly as much as when people type 'a lot' as one word. ;-)

I frequently have one finger faster than the other. I regularly type thnax instead of thanks, and similarly juxtaposed letters. I can spell, I just can't type. You will often see my posts have had edits, because I have to go back and correct the misspelled words.

One word: Dvorak
Home row is: aoeu htns
instead of: asdf jkl;
The main vowels are on the left hand and the main concenents are on the right.
edit: now I can't type.
