I get this message when I'd like to submit a print to dpcprints...
"Your image is 1024 x 768 pixels, which translates to an aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Based on these statistics, here's a list of the prints you'll be reviewed for:"
they end not not being eligible because the dpi is not correct. is there a way to change the aspect ratio so it would be eligible for small prints at a lower DPI ?

All of the aspect ratios are listed here:
//www.dpcprints.com/help.php?faq_id=61
But it looks like you're submitting your reduced-size images to DPC prints, rather than submitting the original-sized ones. You need at least 150 DPI at any given print size for DPC to accept it as a print, so always make sure to submit the largest image you have.

| Piggy-backing on the thread. In prints for sale I have a square 12"x12" print for sale - I want to buy one for myself, but the only square print that features in the buy your own drop-down box is 20" square. I'm probably being a bit thick, but does anybody know a workaround? |

You could put more than one image on a page and order that for yourself. The only drawback is that you have to cut it yourself.
Another option is to order the 12 x 12 as a 12 x 18. |

Not to mention the fact that 1024 x 768 is 0.7 Million Pixels/MegaPixels and wont make much of a print which is part of your dpi problem. To be a certain size you would optimally want 300 pixels per inch but 150 can be acceptable depending on the content.
Are you cropping a very small part of your image? The 350 is an 8 megapixel camera so if your ending up with 1024x768 either your cropping too much of the image or you have resized the image smaller which you need not do.
Anyways 1024 x 768 is big enough for a 2.5 x 3.5 wallet sized print @ 300 dpi/ppi or if the aspect ratio was slightly different a 5 x 7 @ the lower 150 dpi/ppi quality. and is a bad aspect ratio for making a normal print dimension

If I remember right, it's like panoramics. Do everything the normal way, but set your selling price at base price. Then buy through the store like a consumer, but you'll be buying at cost. Then go back and set your selling price back to whatever you want it set at. |

Take your cameras resolution, ie the XT is 3456 x 2304, divide by 300 ppi, and you get 11.5 x 7.68 inches. Double that if you can live with 150 ppi. |

That's what I had to do to order a 12x24 print I have available. I wonder why they can't make all the sizes available when we order our own prints? |
