I see a lot of these posts with a member asking if they should renew their membership. I didn't think twice, but thought this annual event would be the perfect time to send a heartfelt thanks to all dpc'ers for continuing to work as a community and make this the best photography site on the Internet. I wouldn't be where I am today (sifting through 350 images possible images for a client) without the support and advice that I have found here.

Ya know, DPC has gobs of useful info from very smart people. That alone is worth the tiny $25 a year.

Then there is portfolio space, community, drama, entertainment and Cindi.

Yup, no problems from me re-upping :-D

My panning entry resembles a frozen cod filet.

For me, it's not about the money... it's about the ambiance and feel of the place. Yes, there is a lot of good things about DPC... it was those that kept me coming back in the first place. But there are also a number of things that have been creeping in to detract from the the good parts... at least for me. But that is the life of a forum. People come and go all the time. I've got a week and a half and I've not made up my mind yet.

My membership is due this month and I didn't even hesitate to renew. I have learnt an astronomical amount in 12 months here and cant wait to see what new things are on the horizon.

So after days of saying I can't afford the $25.00 for the membership, I realized I just can't be here, taking part in the fun and games, learning and finally getting better, without supporting the community too.
