Have the people moaning about low voting considered that perhaps the 'trolls' are correct and it is the higher scoring voters who are wrong?

I don't expect everyone on this site to share my taste in music, fashion, film or literature, why should I expect them to share my taste in photography?

If you are only here for an ego massage you're in the wrong place.

Bump.

Robsmith talks sense. Couldn't agree more!

While we are at it, for those that think their challenge didn't do well "Cos I am too 'artsy' for this site" wake up wake up wake up!

I just want to say, I really appreciate all the comments on my submissions! It helps me out to know what I'm doing right or wrong.
I just wish I didn't have to see the point score you gave it. If its not a 10, I don't want to see it.

I had never left that before but decided on the Exposed Challenge I would but keep in mind if I have done yours already it's the first pass and I'm approaching this one differently too, taking extra time with each shot then scoring and over the course of the week I will be back to look at it again and unless it's pretty bad I'll almost guarantee your score will go up from me, very few stay the same as it did when I first looked at it.

me also. It helps to back up the comments too.

What I have also tested is giving all photos a Good points and bad points comments. Thus ensuring all photos are commented on.

Tiresome mind you, but all done now.

I've started to add the score I gave as well (when I remember to), because *I* find it helpful to see just how the details pointed out in the comment affected the vote.

It helps give depth to the critique for me in that while a comment like, 'top half is a little blurry' is helpful on its own, the adding of their score of 3 helps me know how much that blur has impacted the viewers perception of the photo.

Just a different perspective.
