Not sure if this has been brought up on DPC...

I came across a website called File Magazine which has a great collection of alternative photography.

The website describes itself as follows:

The purpose of FILE is to collect and display photographs that treat subjects in unexpected ways. Alternate takes, odd angles, unconventional observations - these are some of the ways photographs collected in FILE reinterpret traditional genres. We leave the Kodak Moments to the family album, the glossy fashion spreads to Vogue, and the photo finishes to ESPN. Rather than taking the well-trod paths, we veer off to get a different perspective.

And it has some great work on there. Definitely anti-DPC and I really enjoyed some of the photographs they have posted. Some of it is really my kind of work and I suggest that you all take a gander to have a fresh look at photography.

Thought I'd share. :)

Happy Valentines Day to all!

Thanks for sharing that! There's some really great stuff there. I like the current project about coal. There should be more news stories about stuff like that.

Yea the projects are a really great idea and there is some phenomenal work. I've only had a chance to glance at a handful but there is a lot to take away from the photo essays and the stories which go along with them.

Some great stuff, for sure. I wonder how some of my fireworks photos would go over there... ;-Þ
