I'm not really into the average thing being a decider on who wins. That takes away from a "championship" or "gold medal" game and all the hype that comes with it. If you guys want to handicap some teams fine but it would be more fun to keep it based on winners of head to head matchups. USA vs Iceland, Australia vs Canada. That is more fun then everyone playing everyone as I think has been suggested.

In any case maybe cujee could round up a few people and form an Olympic Committee to sort all of this out. Even if we ran a quick tourney we can always just run another shortly afterwards and call it World Championships or whatever. Of course if you keep running tournaments all year the "Olympics" won't seem as special in which case maybe just make the trophy better looking assuming well have one. If we did this then you probably will need to allow teams to change which is what happens in real life anyway (top players don't always play in all the tourneys in their sport). If my memory serves me correct, Lance Armstrong only competed in a few cyclist tournaments during the year which kept him fresher for the big one, the Tour de France.

Anyway, just some thoughts.

come on South Africa we need some more people in our team! Are there any South African Born people in other countries who would like to be on our team!
When is this tournament due to start as I am going to be in zimbabwe until the 24th feb and out of touch always considering we get a few more on our team!

When he was competing my theory is that being with Cheryl Crow kept him wanting lots of time off. At least it would for me. :)

~ Every team plays each week throughout the length (whatever that ends up) of the tournament.

~ Each week Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd highest averaging team.

~ At the end of the tournament, the country with the most medals wins.

I like this idea the best and closest resembles the olympics
