I was already promised a $20 credit on my bill because of the missed appointment, but I know I'll have to make sure it actually hits my statement.

I know better than to yell at the CSRs. :)

All those big communication companies are the same. Charter is just like that. A major pain in the ass to get some simple customer service then 9 out of 10 times when you finally get lucky and press a button that connects you to a human, They say one moment while I connect you to someone who actually knows what they are doing, 2 seconds later I find myself right back where I started on the main menu of the recorded hell.

It is a nightmare.

Perspective check.....

I'd love for some bad hi-speed service.

I have an unstable dialup that mostly doesn't work when it rains.

I just had a very refreshing 30 minutes call with Frank Eliason of Comcast. He really listened to what I had to say and explained details about things that are going to get done to rectify things. It's nice to hear an Executive of the company say, "That's not right. That should never have happened."

I actually feel respected and that my experience and opinion matter to the company. I'm not going out and investing in Comcast stock just yet though.

I just checked with Comcast HR - Frank Eliason is a 15 year old kid who works part time in Shipping and Receiving and occasionally does "Executive" customer service calls. HR said he has the persuasiveness of a Jedi. ;-)
