What exactly do you need to get it as a student? I am one but im the UK, so dont know if that would work??

you have to send them through secure links your student ID , then they verify it. I """"think""""" that may only apply to American students though. Not sure

I will say that before I graduated, I ordered TONS of software, including the entire adobe and macromedia suite, and have had nothing but good luck with them!

you can also get the discounts if you are on the faculty at said institutions. :)

I just ordered adobe photoshop lightroom for $98 from the Academic Superstore with my student discount. I have bought a few things from them and they usually come within 3 to 4 days, plus they don't overcharge for shipping.

AFAIK, you can also order the "educational version" of Adobe software if you are the parent of a student K-12, not just college. You are not supposed to use it for commercial purposes, but it does entitle you to upgrade pricing when new commercial versions are released.

I got a similar price on the same bundle from Academic Superstore. Maybe a few $ cheaper. I just registered for a 1 credit class at the local community college ($33), used my registration receipt to prove I was a student, bought the software, then dropped the class and got my $33 back.

I wouldn't do it if I was doing a lot of professional work...

The UK version of the student licence requires you to be on a degree course of not less than two years. :¬(

I'm not sure that is quite right Sarah . . I have read this before and am busy re-reading it as my son goes to College. It appears to say at different places Secondary School / College / University (among other places).

I shall read on

Ummmm, do I know anyone on the faculty of any said institutions??????????????????????

Yes most places in the UK do require you to be on a 2 year course, it depends what you are getting though.
I have helped people buy macs and other software before at student rates and am able to do so again if people need a student :)
I cant make it work in the US or anywhere else though, sorry!
