| I have recently upgraded to CS3 and I notice when I pull images in from bridge they are already set to 8bit, in CS2 they were 16bit. Is there a setting somewhere I can change this? |

| In bridge, the default is probably set to 8bit. You can change that to 16. |

i am having trouble finding this setting, do you know where its at? |

| if you click that line of data at the bottom of the image (assuming the image is opened in camera raw), where it states the color space, bit, etc., it should bring up a window where you can change the default setting |

I was saying bridge when it's actually in camera raw as krnodil has indicated. |

Click the blue 'link' (it looks like one) at center bottom margin. The resulting pop-up menu provides you with the choice you're looking for.
